Nestled in the suburban streets of the Brisbane suburb of Mansfield, Broadwater Picnic Ground Park is a unique find that’s just begging to be explored.
I’m currently on a quest to find Brisbane and Logan’s best parks…especially for little bubs…and this one ticks all the boxes! Benny even agreed!
We ventured there recently on a Mum’s group meet-up and we fell in love with it.
Beautiful green open spaces, big shady trees, safe walking paths, wooded areas and fantastic playgrounds to suit all ages…even the big kids!
There’s even a mini road course which would be perfect for trikes and bikes!
Benny loved being able to roam free and explore the open spaces. He made a bee-line straight for the toddler playground, pulling up on the equipment and crawling everywhere he shouldn’t.
He also had a great time investigating the sensory garden; his fun ending with an unfortunate encounter with the bark and rosemary.
This is an absolutely fantastic park, with facilities including:
~ 2 playgrounds (one for toddlers, one for older kids)
~ Flying fox and kids coaster
~ Sensory garden
~ Picnic tables
~ Electric and wood BBQs
~ Bubblers and drinking tap
~ Half basketball court
~ Fitness equipment.
Offering plenty of parking, with two carparks at different sections of the park, it’s perfect for birthday parties, weekend BBQs and casual play dates.
You’ll find Broadwater Picnic Ground just off the Gateway Motorway, with access from Sandringham Street, Culzean Street, and Mansfield Place.
